Zirconium

Tooth veneer is applied as porcelain veneer in two types: metal-supported and metal-free. Chromium, cobalt or zirconium can be applied as the metal infrastructure. Chrome-cobalt is a gray metal alloy and is more resistant to outside forces. However, due to its color, the porcelain coating on it is opaque, and for this reason it is preferred on posterior teeth instead of anterior teeth.

Zirconium is a white colored biocompatible metal. Due to its high transparency, it provides excellent, almost nattural aesthetic results especially on anterior teeth.
